Teachers Are Giving Their All: Let’s Give Something Back

As the back-to-school season approaches, Frontline Builders, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, is calling on donors and corporate partners to join their Empower Our Educators campaign—a nationwide initiative aimed at easing the burden on teachers by stocking Teacher Resource Centers with essential items.

Empower Our Educators

Partnering with the Kids in Need Foundation, Frontline Builders is focusing on delivering snacks, beverages, and personal care products to educators who often spend hundreds of dollars out of their own pockets to support their classrooms. For teachers, many of whom are working in underfunded schools and supporting students facing poverty, these donations go far beyond convenience—they represent dignity, care, and the kind of social impact that builds stronger communities.

Teachers Are Frontline Workers Too

Teachers are frontline workers in every sense of the word. In addition to educating the next generation, they offer emotional and mental support to students navigating complex life challenges. Yet, 93% of U.S. public school teachers report spending an average of $820 annually on classroom supplies—often at personal sacrifice. Frontline Builders is stepping up to change that by working with donor partners in the consumer packaged goods (CPG) industry and beyond to donate excess product, short-coded inventory, and in-kind donations of shelf-stable food and hygiene items. These donations not only support educators but also reduce waste, making this a model of both corporate social responsibility and environmental mindfulness.

Donating with Purpose: Supporting Educators and Reducing Waste

Teacher Resource Centers nationwide—in cities like Little Canada, MN; Los Angeles, CA; Baltimore, MD; and Cincinnati, OH—serve as vital hubs for educators to access free supplies. Donations to these centers can have a ripple effect in classrooms, schools, and entire communities. “A box of granola bars might seem small, but to a teacher who hasn’t had time to eat all day, it’s everything,” one teacher shared through the Kids in Need Foundation. Through this campaign, Frontline Builders is helping turn excess inventory into essential care, proving that even simple items can make a profound humanitarian difference.

Corporate donors can take advantage of potential tax-exemption benefits by contributing to this tax-exempt nonprofit. Whether it’s a large-scale donation or a small shipment of products, every contribution helps alleviate the economic pressures teachers face. Brands also have the opportunity to see their support in action—Frontline Builders is documenting the campaign's outcomes through photos and stories from recipients, showing how each donation directly supports our education system’s frontline heroes.

Now is the time for donors and brands to act. If your organization has goods ready for donation, consider joining this impactful initiative. Free shipping may be available to the Little Canada, MN center, and your support will directly enhance the well-being of educators who give so much of themselves. Let’s come together in this season of giving, not just for school supplies, but for the humanitarian response our frontline workers deserve.
